牛记 ~ Ngau Kee @ Tengkat Tong Shin

又一个牛肉粉档 ~
曾听说过这家位于 Tengkat Tong Shin 蛮出名的牛肉粉档
今天就去试试咯...
靠近 Jalan Bukit Bintang/Jalan Alor 一带的露天停车场的收费都是 RM5
而这家档也离停车场不远
Another beef noodle place ~
we have heard so much about Ngau Kee at Tengkat Tong Shin and only now we had a chance to try it out...
parking is RM5 at the opened space carpark around Jalan Bukit Bintang/Jalan Alor area and this store is located just a short walk from the carpark



很多人很热闹哦
我们很幸运的找到了一张空桌...
The store is very crowded and we were very lucky to get a table...





辣椒酱是盛在一个瓦煲里:
要多少就自己拿了放在小酱料碟里...
The chili sauce in a pot:
just scope how much you need into the saucer provided...





牛肉汤:
份量蛮多的
可是汤很清淡到只有少许的胡椒味
牛肉片都切到很小又厚...我们都不喜欢
the beef soup:
the portion is kinda big while the soup is very clear and tasteless other than a hint of pepper taste
the beef slices are small and thick... not the cut we like





牛杂:
有牛肚, 牛百叶, 牛肉丸和牛肉块...没有牛肉片哦
还是一样淡到没味道的汤
牛肚和牛百叶也是没味道的
反而是那牛肉块味道不错 ~
很不明白为什么那汤淡到水一样...
The mixed beef:
a combination of stomach, beef balls and beef cubes... no beef slices
still the same tasteless soup and the cow stomach are equally tasteless
however the beef cubes are tasty ~
wonder why the soup is so plain...







我们都不满意...
也很不明白为什么那里那么出名又多人
再说价钱也不便宜
我们叫的两碗每碗要 RM9!!
We are not satisfied at all...
in fact we failed to understand why this store is so popular and crowded
and prices are not cheap too
for the two bowls of beef soup and mixed beef, they cost RM9 each !!

Cable Car Cafe @ Section 14 (2)

又到 14区的 Cable Car Cafe 去了 ~
其中一个原因是我们的友族同事和我们一起吃饭当然就不可以到我们常去的茶餐室咯...
另外一个原因是想知道这家餐厅会搬到那里去
据说年尾就要被拆了啊...
Back to Cable Car Cafe for lunch ~
one of the reason being we have a Malay colleague with us so we have to be considerate and not go to our usual coffee shop with all the hawker stores
another being to find out where this cafe is shifting to as the building is going to be demolished soon...



午餐套餐 @ RM13.90++...
As usual set lunch of the day @ RM13.50++:





茄子汤 + 面包和牛油:
送到的时候还以为是蘑菇或是马铃薯之类的汤
和招待员确定的时候才知道原来是茄子汤!!
第一次听到哦...
非常淡的茄子味道和很多纤维的感觉
对我来说就是咸了点
Soup of the day ~ Brinjal soup:
served with bun and butter
at first we thought this is some kind of mushroom or potato based soup
when we confirmed with the waitress we were being told this is brinjal soup !!
first time we heard of this...
a very slight hint of brinjal taste and can feel loads of fibre in the soup
but a little too salty for my liking





羊扒:
我们都不要炸薯条
结果要求换成沙拉和杂菜
羊扒蛮大的份量
羊肉松软多汁没有羊肉常有的慅味...
Lamb chop:
since non of us want fries we requested for salad and mixed veggie instead
quite a generous portion...
the lamb is tender and juicy without the strong lamb aroma...





甜品 ~ 椰浆黑糯米和咖啡:
糖水很浓很好吃
份量不多所以粘粘的也没关系啦 ~
Dessert of the day ~ Coffee + Black Glutinous Rice with Coconut milk:
the tong shui is thick and delicious
since the portion is kinda small we dun really mind it being sticky...





回说我们到那儿的第二个目标
我们什么都没问到...
第一次当CN问其中一位招待员时
那小姐说: 不知道
再问多些她说: 老板什么也没说
或许她是新人, 或许她真的不知道, 或许...
当我们的主菜被送到时
我们问第二位招待员
结果还是一样的答案...
奇怪 ~ 为什么酱神秘啊? 难道他们不想让他们的顾客知道他们将会搬去那里?
我们没可能每个星期来问啊...
至于那些招待员... 难道他们不担心没工作? 如果餐厅决定结束营业那他们该怎么办啊?
By the way...
as for our reason # 2 to eat at Cable Car Cafe
we din manage to find out anything...
first CN asked one of the waitress if she knows where they will be shifting to
the lady said: dunno...
when we press further she said: the boss din tell them
ok, fine... maybe she is new, maybe she really dunno, maybe...
after our mains are served we tried our luck by asking a different waitress
guess what ? same answer...
we find it kinda weird... why is the management keeping this secret ? dun they want their customers to know where they will be moving to ? we cant be checking on they weekly...
and as for the worker... aint they worry they will be out of job ? what if the establishment decides to close down ?

陪一位同事到 1-U 去顺便到 Ajisen 去吃午餐 ~
Accompany a colleague to 1-U so we decided to have lunch at Ajisen ~



炸鸡套餐 (RM12.50):
有一大片的鸡扒, 两个炸水饺和两个炸鸡块
JL 说味道不错很好吃
Deluxe Chicken Teri Set (RM12.50):
comes with a big piece of chicken chop, two pieces of fried gyoza and two pieces of Japanese fried chicken
according to JL she said this is delicious ~









水饺拉面 (RM11.80):
CN 叫的水饺拉面有很多包菜和豆芽
她投诉说拉面的份量太少了...
Gyoza Ramen (RM11.80):
CN had this gyoza ramen with loads of cabbage and bean sprouts
she was complaining too little ramen in the bowl...





铁板海鲜 (RM12.80):
这是我的...
和餐牌上看到的有很大的差别
被送上来时就后悔及了...
看到那肮脏的乌贼吗?
不懂之前是不是在厨房的地上滚过然后被拾起来放到铁板上...
两只虾和少少的拉面
下面的全是豆芽!!
有被骗的感觉...
Hot Plate Seafood (RM12.80):
this is mine...
looks very much different from what is shown in the menu
the moment this is served i feel so regret...
see the dirty squird ? i wonder if it was rolling on the kitchen floor before some one picked it up and served in the hot plate...
two prawns and very little ramen too
the bottom are all bean sprouts!!

新宜生海鲜餐厅 ~ Restaurant New Yen Seng Seafood

欠 柚子绿茶 好久的帖...
今天午餐时刻抽空到 Kelana Jaya 的新宜生海鲜餐厅去
之前我们在讨论着好吃的鱼头米粉
说到地点时她说那边有一间她喜欢吃的炒老鼠粉
发这个帖希望可以顺便确定一下到底是不是同一家餐厅来的 ~

as i was telling her i like the fish head beehoon served here...
and she said she likes the fried lou shee fun at similar location
by doing this post we hope to confirm if we were referring to the same shop ~

从 LDP 的 Shell (靠近 Giant 的) 之前转左然后在右边就可以见到了...
店铺是背向着 LDP 的

along LDP before Shell (next to Giant) turn left and u will see this shop on your right backing LDP...







才发觉这里真的有一家炒老鼠粉的档口...
会不会就是 柚子绿茶 说的那家呢?

Nic 鱼头米粉 (RM4):
这就是我最喜欢的鱼头米粉咯 ~
大概有五块炸得香脆的鱼块再加上适量的淡奶...
虽然说是鱼头米粉可是鱼肉也不少
很好吃哦 ~
我每一次都差不多把汤给喝完的...
Nic's Fish Head Beehoon:
the standard version for RM4
with about 5 pieces of deep fried till fragrant fish pieces and just the right amount of milk...
even though this is called fish head beenhoon but still get pieces of fish meat rather than just the fish head
this is so delicious that i alway finished almost all the soup...

软壳蟹的体形比 Zipangu 的小
好处是只有薄薄的面粉...
Soft shell crab (RM31):
size is slightly smaller than those we get at Zipangu
good thing is no thick coating of flour...





日本豆腐 (RM11):
很滑也很冷
都放在冰下...
Hiyayako (RM11):
very smooth and cold toufu covered with ice...



很好吃...
delicious...





天妇罗虾饭团 (RM30):
只有四个饭团可是里面有两只天妇罗虾
下足料的肯定好味道 ~
Ebiten Roll (RM30):
just four pieces of them but there are two tempura prawns in the middle
it is so flavoursome ~







烤鲭鱼 (RM36):
份量蛮大的...
鱼肉新鲜多汁 ~
Saba Shioyaki (RM36):
grilled mackerel with salt
very generous portion and the meat is so juicy...





烤扇贝 (RM48):
扇贝都很肥美好吃!!
Grilled Scallops (RM48):
the scallops are fat and succulent !!





三文鱼炒饭 (RM18):
鱼都很碎
味道普通...
Salmon Fried Rice (RM18):
fried rice with salmon flake kinda plain and nothing special...





海鲜炒饭 (RM19):
没有完整的海鲜全部都被切成小块
炒饭就是少了那锅气...
Seafood Fried Rice (RM19):
no chunky seafood, all are being chopped into small pieces
and we notice the fried rice here lack the "wok hei"...





炒杂菜 (RM21):
简单又好吃...
有铁板烧的味道 ~
Mix Fried Veggie (RM21):
this is a simple and delicious dish...
veggie teppanyaki style ~





当我们要离开这餐厅时
在里面的鱼缸看见这红白相间的虾...
As we were leaviang the restaurant i notice this white and red prawn in the aquarium
look so cool ~
