Kedai Kuih A'Han ~ 娘惹糕

这家店很出名的说
如果没预订很多种类的娘惹糕都会买不到哦
今天又去买了不少娘惹糕
这一次我把大多数的糕点都拍了下来...

Well, i visited this popular Nyonya kuih shop again
this round i asked the auntie's permission to take some photos
here it goes...

很多名称我都还搞不清楚
我是只会吃而已

除此以外也可以买那些"边"
就是各种各样的
切的时候多余的边
好处是可以吃到各种口味的
而且也不会太多太大片
太多会很腻的....

Alternatively you can also buy the "skirting"
which is mixture of everything...

and you get to taste all the flavour

和丰鸡饭

翻看着我之前发过的帖子
发觉了这家鸡饭店
既然近来我都常发鸡饭的帖了就顺便也把这搬上来咯~
Looking through my old posting and found this
since lately i had been taking so much about chicken rice might as well put this up....


上个月的某一天
午餐去 Seapark 吃和丰鸡饭
很好吃的炸鸡饭
可是不可以常吃哦
很热气的....
Sometime last month we went to this chicken rice shop in Seapark for lunch
very nice fried chicken rice
the whole chicken is being fried before they cut it for serving
but cant have this too often though
very heaty according to the Chinese...




三个人吃半只鸡
再加上其他的 RM26.60
Three of us had half a chicken plus other things and the bill came up to RM26.60

新怡保滑鸡芽菜 ~ New Restaurant Ipoh Chicken Rice

午餐去吃怡保芽菜鸡饭
据说角落那家是中间那家的徒弟来的
所以要吃的都会到中间那家去
Our lunch at the Ipoh Chicken Rice shop at Jalan Gasing
apparently the ownder of the corner shop is the apprentice while the master owned the intermediate shop therefore most people will prefer to go to the intermediate shop





叉烧和烧肉 两个位的RM12
Roast pork ~ char siew and siew york for 2 pax (RM12)

味道不错
不过我还是比较喜欢十七区那家
皮又香又脆放进口里有入口即化的感觉...超赞的!!

but i still prefer the one in section 17 with crispy skin and yet can litterally melt in your mouth ~

这份叉烧太瘦了结果很干很硬

the meat is too dry or "skinny" without any fats therefore too tough for our liking...

Ajisen Japanese Restaurant & Noodle Bar

在 One Utama 新开张的拉面店
其实上个星期就发现这家店了
可惜那时只是招待被邀请的客人而已
今天我们等了15分钟终于有位了才吃到
当我们付钱的时候才知道第二碗拉面只付 RM1
就是说比较贵的那碗要给足钱然后第二碗只给 RM1
不错哦~
记得要双双对对的去吃
要不然就亏本咯.....

A new ramen shop in One Utama old wing
we noticed this shop last week
but that time they were only opened for invited guests
and today we finally get to try this after 15 minutes on the waiting list
Upon paying the bill only we realised that for any ramen ordered the second one is charged at RM1
which means u have to pay for the higher price ramen while only pay RM1 for the next ramen ordered, cool ~
must remember to go there in pairs otherwise rugi lor

very little meat but lots and lots of ramen

酱的价钱玉米应该给多多啊

Actually this is priced at RM8.80
but due to the promotion we are charged RM1
should have given more corn at that price...

午餐肉如果炸得更香脆会更好吃

父之厨 ~ My Kitchen Restaurant

自从前些日子海南会馆举办了海南鸡饭比赛之后
老爸就拿着那张名单到处去吃海南鸡饭
那天谈起了海南鸡饭
他说这家也不错我们就去吃咯.....
Since the Hainanese Chicken Rice competition organised by the Hainanese Association not too long ago
dad had been going around eating all the Hainanese Chicken Rice in the list
and this shop according to him is not bad
so our trip there...

没有虾酱的味道...

too little chin-cha-lok cant taste it in the omelette...

还蛮多肉的...
味道就没什么特别
白斩鸡咯

very meaty
as for the taste nothing spectacular
taste just like normal steamed chicken





马六甲驰名海南炖羊汤 (RM9/小的)
味道不错很多药材
一点羊骚味都没有
Melaka Famous Hainanese Mutton Soup (Small):
tasty and full of herbs
and no "goaty" smell



把羊肉捞上来...

很奇怪的事...
为什么都是马六甲的?
难道海南人大多数都集中在马六甲吗?
Feel kinda weird...
why most of the dishes are from Melaka ?
were the Hainanese mostly based in Melaka anyone ?

■蒸熟的雞過一過冷河,雞皮會更香滑。


(吉隆坡訊)八打靈父之廚老板王美菊很年輕,只有32歲,而父之廚更年輕,只有兩歲半。王美菊在2005年,辭掉國際公司的高職,向開餐館賣海南菜的父親拜師學藝一個多月,之後就以“初生之犢不畏虎”的精神,開了這家父之廚,朝餐飲業大展拳腳。

經過兩年半的考驗,王美菊靠著在八打靈一帶屬“稀有”的雞飯團和不一樣的煮雞方式,穩固了事業的根基。

王美菊來自廚師世家,婆婆以前賣海南雞飯,爸爸在馬六甲開餐館賣海南菜,她從小就在廚房裡打轉,小小年紀已經學會烹煮美味佳餚,她一直把創業視為輕而易舉的事,認為就不過是把煮好的食物賣給顧客享用而己。

一天工作十多小時

自信滿滿的她,也堅信憑著自己持有的市場管理碩士的學位,要成為餐飲業中的佼佼者毫不困難;可是現實與理想畢竟有所差距,她在餐館開張不到一個月,就因為廚師鬧罷工而幾乎關門大吉,所幸爸爸及時打救及姨媽姑姐傾巢而出的協助,她才熬過難關。

她說,父親放下馬六甲的餐館工作,當她的頭手近一個月,直至她聘請到廚師才放心;可是由於廚師及員工來來去去,不是學會了廚藝就走,就是吃不了苦離開,使她陷入迷茫中。

“我本來的夢想是栽培本身的廚師,讓他們主管廚房,而我則運用市場管理的知識有系統的開拓市場,可是直到今天,我還是不時得在廚師鬧脾氣離職時頂替上去。”

因為必須兼顧太多,王美菊一天必須工作十多個小時,甚至有人揶揄她“有自不在,拿苦來辛”,但要王美菊就這樣收盤,她卻是萬個不甘心,於是她從食譜中著手,立志把海南雞飯打造成招牌菜。“

在開業的第一年,只有在週五、週六及週日才賣海南雞飯,而且顧客還必須預訂才能吃得到,後來發現顧客很喜歡我的雞飯團,而且以蒸的方式處理的白斬雞也似乎對上他們的胃口,因此決定天天賣海南雞飯。”

王美菊直言,她的廚藝尚有待改進,但她還年輕,有的是本錢。

身為廚師又愛吃
每週健身保持苗條

身為餐館老板,又是愛吃之人,但王美菊一點也不顯得胖,個子嬌小的她,體重最高是45公斤,苗條得叫人不敢相信她是一名廚師。王美菊說,她是非常注重外表的人,不認為餐館老板就會臃腫身材,一副安娣樣。“餐館老板也可以很摩登、很時麾的呀!”即使在最忙碌的時候,她每星期還是會抽一、兩天到健身房做運動;到處覓食時,她也僅是淺嚐而不會讓自己撐得肚子飽飽,免得苦了自己毀了身材。

品嚐家的話

年輕人有衝勁、有創意是好事,猶如為雞飯行業注入一股新血。以現代烹煮方式處理傳統菜餚不簡單,特別是在調味及火候掌握方面,忌為了方便及求快速而走捷徑。
