Our very late lunch on a weekday ~
during weekdays there is a 50% discount dim sum promotion at SOHO from 2:30pm onwards
so we went there and took the opportunity to try out a variety of dim sums....
Since my favourite tea, the Dragon Pearl tea, is still out of stock we were recommended to have this...
Superior Guan Yin (RM6):
Number One Bun (RM8):
very flavoursome mini meat bun
White Egg Tart (RM6):
at first i tot i got the name wrong... until this is being served
the color is very pale compared to those normal egg tarts we had every where else
but this is extremely light and delicious ~
Prawn and Beancurd Skin (RM14):
this is very good... the soft steamed rice roll with crispy beancurd skin and chunky prawns
Har Gau (RM8):
nothing special and the skin is kinda thick...
with that price i rather get another order of the steamed meat dumplings
Shanghai Steamed Meat Dumpling (RM7):
standard remains... transparent skin and full of broth ~
Char Siew Bun (RM6):
mini char siew bao which are very tasty and delicious ~
Shanghai Sticky Rice Shumai (RM8):
something highly recommended by a fren but we find it so plain
just wrapped the sticky rice with siew mai skin...
Century Yam Cake (RM6):
a very unique combination of century egg cubes with yam cake
taste wise i find the soya sauce too salty...
Spare Ribs with Vermicelli Noodles (RM14):
very big portion and can be eaten as a meal on its own since it come with the flat transparent vermicelli noodles too ~ both the ribs and noodles are tasty
