Flying Chilies ~ Simply Thailicious

在 The Gardens, Flying Chilies 的晚餐...
Dinner at Flying Chilies, The Gardens

黄梨炒饭 (RM16.50):
Pineapple fried rice with prawn (RM16.50):

lots and lots of rice...
a few cashew nuts, some pineapple cubes and two prawns at the bottom of all the rice
at least the pineapple used to served the fried rice is fresh

Thai belacan fried rice (RM15.50):
even though the belacan taste is quite mild this is pretty good Photobucket
served with some chicken, egg and sides

海鲜酱炒粿条 (RM16.50):
Stir-fried keow teow topped with seafood gravy (rad na) RM16.50:

Photobucket
very starchy with lots of veggie, some squids and two prawns
taste wise ordinary only
wonder why they served this in a steel pot the koay teow turns cold pretty quickly

Spicy tom yam mee hoon with seafood (RM16.50):
the tom yam is very flavoursome!! hot
with lots of ingredients too
there are prawns, squids, fish balls, fried fish slices and abalone mushrooms

A beautiful, casual, and so bright restaurant! I'm most taken with the presentation of the pinapple "boat"! Wao! I'll bet one of those nice Thai dishes was SO spicy! Perfect for our rainy November here.

Cheers!

YUM! I've been meaning to try this, because I am running out of places to eat at Mid Valley. RM16.50 for koay teow is a bit painful though...
