驰名柔佛老郑牛腩粉 ~ Uncle Cheng Special Beef Noodle

先在 Boo_licious's 的部落格看到这然后又在 WMW's 的部落格得到更多的资料
老爸除了螃蟹最爱吃牛肉这一天我们决定去试一试咯...
跟着 WMW 写的指示方向我们很轻易的就找到这家位于17区, 17/12路, 角头间的佳协茶餐室 ~
First saw this at Boo_licious's blog and then also read about this in WMW's blog
since dad loves beef we decided to track this place down...
with the road directions given by WMW, there is no problem for us to find Restaurant Khasiat at Jalan 17/12 ~ Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket



我们的时间很奇怪就是很迟的早餐而又很早的午餐时间...
当我们找到这家老郑牛腩粉档时
档主 (Julian, 在他的名片上看到的) 才准备好也没什么顾客
而我们吃的都是他所介绍的...
We were late for breakfast but early for lunch... very weird timing indeed
so when we found this place the restaurant is still kinda empty and the man manning the Uncle Cheng store (later we found out his name is Julian from the name card given by him) recommended what we should order...





档主自己做的辣椒酱
很鲜艳的红色可是并不会很辣...
The homemade chili sauce by Julian:
very bright red in color and not too spicy...





牛肉汤:
很清淡的颜色却是味道很香浓的汤...
当 Julian 把食物都送上来之后他也坐了下来和我们聊天
老爸对他说牛肉汤很好喝
他就对我们说起他的经验
原来之前他曾在香格里拉大酒店工作过
而汤头是以东西合并的方式来熬的
要熬上三天才可上桌哦...
他也说他的食物都不"新鲜"的因为要达到他需要的口味, 牛肉都冷冻过而汤头也要熬三天啊...Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
The beef soup is being served while we wait for our beef noodles:
the soup is full of the beefy aroma and taste flavoursome...
when Julian sat down with us for a chat after he served us the food
dad commented the soup is very good
and we found out that Julian worked for Shangri-La Hotel previously and therefore the soup is prepared in a east meets west way... only neck and thigh bones are used and the soup are boiled for 3 days before it is served
he also told us that non of the food is "fresh"... because to obtain the right flavour, the beef is frozen earlier while the soup is boiled for 3 days ~ Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket





生肉汤:
这个先被送到
我们要快快的把牛肉吃了
要不然浸在汤里久了牛肉也就过熟了
牛肉都嫩嫩的
可是老爸喜欢比较大片的牛肉....
Beef slices in soup:
this is being served first and we have to eat them fast before the beef is overcooked
the beef is tender but dad prefer bigger slices...







干捞牛肉面:
用的是濑粉, 就是通常要来煮亚叁叻沙的面条
我们四份都是一样的因为没有别的面条选择
牛肉丸很好口感...
濑粉也QQ的很好吃
The dried beef noodle:
only one type of noodle available and recommended which is the "lai fun"
so four of us have the same one...
the beef balls are "bouncy" and delicious
while the "lai fun" is a little chewy







我们四个吃了:
四碗牛肉粉
一碗生肉汤
和一碗牛杂 (顾着聊天忘了拍照)
一共是: RM55
For four of us had:
four bowls of dried beef noodle
one bowl of slice beef
and one bowl of mixed beef (too busy chatting forgotten about photo taking)
Total: RM55

Sounds tasty. A three-day soup has to be good if someone put that much time into it.

btw uncle cheng dun sell 牛百叶 only normal 牛肚, according to him the 牛百叶 is washed with some kind of acid so not very healthy ~
