新宝岛餐厅 ~ New Formosa Restaurant

餐牌/Menu:





家乡金凤鱼 (RM20):
炸得香脆的非洲鱼再淋上特制酱汁
这鱼香脆得可以连骨头也吃掉
配白米饭最好
要不然味道会过浓
Fried Red Tilapia Taiwanese Home Style cooking (RM20):
the fish is deep fried till crispy
so basically we can eat it together with the bones
best eaten with rice
othewise the taste maybe too intense





清炒蔬菜:
很特别的搭配
有芦笋, 金瓜, 扁豆和鲜百合
卖像很开胃 蔬菜很鲜甜
Stir-fried veggie:
combination of asparagus, pumpkin & French beans & Fresh lily bulbs
a very appetising combination of colours
the sweetness from the veggie is unique and delicious





宝岛客家竹筒饭 (RM9):
小的... 最好是预定要不然需要等大概四十五分钟
我们觉得比较湿了点
可是用料很多 味道也很好吃
Formosan Hakka Style Bamboo Rice (RM9):
for half portion
need to order in advance otherwise have to wait for around 45 minutes
we find it a little too wet
but it is full of ingredients and flavoursome





焦糖布丁:
很商业化的包装
Caremel Pudding:
very commercialised packaging




很滑很软
不会过甜...
The texture is smooth and soft
not too sweet...





爱玉冰:
一种果冻配珍珠 (通常用在珍珠奶茶里的)
再加柠檬汁 酸酸的可以帮助消化
Ai-Yu-Bing:
a type of jelly served with pearls (those usually comes in bubble tea) in lemon juice
tasted a little sourish
good for digestion...

I tried their food during cny... not really up to my expectation after seeing so much good review about the place, hmmm... maybe because i ordered a set instead of ala carte? have u tried their steamboat before?

possibly due to peak season and food a little off standard, why not give it another try ?
i read abt the seafood steamboat, it looks really good but i have yet to try... ^_^
