Essence @ Imperial Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

同事无时无刻的提醒我这里的自助餐...
她说这里的甜品选择又多又好吃!
我怎么可以错过呢?
Essence 的自助晚餐 ~ RM88++/位
My colleague keep telling me about the buffet here...
she said it is very very good especially the desserts!
so here we go ~
Buffet dinner @ Essence, RM88++/pax











坐下不久招待员就会来问要红酒还是白酒 (免费的)
没添加的哦...
A choice of either red wine or white wine will be served on the house
no refill...





日式柜台:
手卷和鱼生...
鱼都很新鲜
From the Japanese counter:
hand rolls and sashimi...
yummy sashimi is very fresh




我很喜欢这里现定现做的手卷...
可以选择喜欢的配料
所以我的是没有饭团的哦
还有双倍的牛油果!
What i like most abt the hand roll here is that we get to decide what we want...

冷盘和沙拉柜台:

海鲜柜台:
就在日本柜台旁边
可是没有虾也没有淡菜/青口
只有三种生蚝...
生蚝都是要才开的所以都很新鲜!
有两种是美国来的而另一种是西班牙生蚝
Fresh Seafood Counter:
which is next to the Japanese counter serves only oysters
no prawns and mussels...
the oysters are opened upon request so they are really fresh! Photobucket
for the night there are three types of oysters
two types are American oysters while the other is Spanish oysters...

又冷又硬...
From the Chinese food counter:
the dim sum is kinda pathetic looking...
tasted cold and hard





各种鱼肉和肉类:
A selections of fish and meat:



小乌贼很硬味道很淡...
The squids are tough and tasted plain...



鱼肉有点干....
The fish... a bit dry



牛尾很够味不错...
Ox-tail tasted flavoursome:



很硬的烤牛肉...

甜品柜台:
真的很多甜品和蛋糕的选择...
第一次看到三种不同的巧克力喷泉!
可惜因为某些事我们要提早离开

it is very impressive...
first time i see three types of chocolate fountain in a row!
the selection of desserts and cakes are also wide...
however due to an emergency call we have to leave right after that

seen having good quality food especially the oyster seen fresh .
and thats cheap with wine
but mostly coffee house chinese dimsum are not tat good, since they get frozen product from factory.

The variety of oysters is only available for a certain period, isn't it? I like the fact that you can dictate what you want to have in the hand rolls...good choice with the double avocado...!

>Hotel coffee house get most of the buffet foods supply from hotel central kitchen. coffee house staffs in duty for refill foods and serve some foods a la minute. Depending but dimsum most will not produced in there and trainees are not able to make good dimsum.

agree about trainees making dim sum, not good enough. Making dim sum is like making sushi, probably take you 10 years to master the basic and not the innovative variants we see these days.

Just want to let you know that the buffet (dinner) is still serving free-flow of house wine. Price is still the same. Also, coffee (incl. latte, cappuccino, etc) and tea by the pot (selection of tea) are also free-flow. I just went again last weekend. :)

i had my training there few months ago but never had any lunch or dinner at their restaurants...but another trainee told me the food are really nice!!
